10 million Galaxy Devices sold by Samsung in India

Dec 27, 2012: Samsung Electronics sold more than 10 million Galaxy devices in India since its first launch in June 2010. The total sale of mobile handsets in India during January-June was recorded at 102.43 million according to CyberMedia Research (CMR) India Mobile Handsets Market Review. The sale of 13 Samsung Galaxy devices has been driven mainly by Samsung Galaxy Note, Note 2, Galaxy Y. Galaxy S, Galaxy SII and SIII. Galaxy Y series, Note series and SIII contributed more than 50% of the total sales of Samsung Galaxy devices. Samsung has been performing extremely well in the smartphones market in India with 41.6% market share followed by Nokia with 19.2% and Blackberry with 12.1%.
