Amazon.com launches Autorip to take on Apple’s iTunes shop

Jan 11, 2013: Amazon.com launched a unique service called Autorip to take on Apple’s iTunes shop which has been giving a major challenge to them. Autorip service of Amazon allows the users to access free MP3 versions of music which is available on CD. Autorip from Amazon has presently an impressive collection of 50,000 albums and users can lay their hands on some of the top titles from Artists like Michael Jackson, Green Day, Susan Boyle etc. How Autorip works is that, the copies of tunes are stored in Cloud Player libraries from where these tunes are streamed to tablets or smartphones. These cloud player libraries are on datacenter servers and can be accessed on Android or Apple Operating System and even it is available on Kindle Fire Tablets. This service is presently available totally free of cost.
