Candy Crush Themed Designer Apparel, Handbag and More to Launch Soon

Lately, it has been increasingly noticed that almost everyone is playing the Candy Crush Saga game that has become the most popular online and mobile game. Eventually, the Developers of the game have come up with a great plan to cash in on its popularity inIndia. Well, those behind Candy Crush Saga have decided to launch high street handbags, designer clothes, shoes and also candies under the brand name called Candy Crush.

TheLondonbased owner of Candy Crush, King Digital Entertainment Plc, has signed a deal with Mumbai based Dream Theatre for exclusive licensing. As per the deal, the latter will receive the license to sell Candy Crush branded products acrossSouth Asia.

Regarding this, Jiggy George, Founder and CEO of Dream Theatre that is involved in entertainment, sports, fashion licensing and brand management claimed that women in the age group between 18 and 25 years are identified as the main consumers of Candy Crush and hence, the firm is planning to focus on this segment of users to extend the products related to the game and women’s fashion such as accessories, handbags, clothing, footwear and home furnishing as well.

Dream Theatre is all set to sign an agreement with a popular Indian fashion designer, but the name of the person is kept a tightly guarded secret. Notably, back in July, fashion designer Manish Arora showcased Candy Crush inspired fall or winter collection for Amrapali jewelry.

The executive also revealed that Dream Theatre will partner with a confectionery manufacturer to introduce candies and confectionary products as well.

Candy Crush Saga is a match three puzzle video game that was initially launched on Facebook. Later, it came as a mobile application for smartphones and it outshined the then popular Farmville 2 in 2013. Acclaimed for being the most downloaded iOS application in 2013, Candy Crush is popular even inIndia.

Dream Theatre is already brags the licensing rights for Angry Birds and has launched products related to the game in 14 categories such as board games, toys, apparels, stationery and more.
