Jan 29, 2013: Dell which has a good reputation as far as PC’s go, might not be a serious contender in the hybrid PC and tablet market. The company is all set to change this perception by introducing four new products in the market i.e. XPS 12 convertible, which can be used as a laptop and tablet, Latitude 10, a tablet, an ultrabook and an all in one personal computer. Dell is trying to target the corporate sector which accounts for nearly 30 per cent of the tablet market in the country with these product offerings.
The company wants to focus only on one segment since none of the other players like Apple and Samsung has this kind of an approach. Dell is positioning its tablets all which are touch enabled with Windows 8 operating system since the company feels that that most of the business houses work on this platform and this will allow the Dell Tablets to be a perfect match to the prevailing OS eco system.
