Gitanjali Jewels to open 60-65 stores by 2013

Dec 6, 2012: Gitanjali group one of the oldest Jewellery group with 52 year old legacy and having presence in India and US is planning to open 60-65 stores by 2013. The group with Rs. 12,000 crore turnover owns some of the most famous brands like Asmi, Gili, Nakshatra and so on and have 90 stores in more than 60 cities. Gitanjali as part of their expansion is planning to open stores in smaller towns of the country like Rajkot, Surat, Gandhidham etc. so as to capitalise on the rising income levels and scope for more retail expansion in these towns and cities. There is an increasing level of brand consciousness among the people in tier II and tier III cities as well and that is also a major reason why Gitanjali Jewels is going for expansion in smaller towns and cities.
