Idea Cellular launches ‘Honey Bunny’ ringtone campaign

Dec 10, 2012: Idea in recent years have carried out some of the most successful ad campaigns including the most popular being ‘Kya Idea hai Sirji’ and looks forward to repeat the same with its new ring tone campaign ‘Honey Bunny’. A campaign which is aimed at showing connectivity around the nation ‘Hunny Bunny’ has been conceptualised and shot by Lowe Lintas and Partners. The ad produced by Jamic Films and Directed by Nikhil Rao which runs nearly for 1 minute was released on 1st December 2012.

The ad shows people from various parts of the country singing the ‘Honey Bunny’ song in different languages. In the end a phone is shown ringing having ‘Hunny Bunny’ song as a ring tone. The phone which rings happens to be that of a backpacker who has travelled across the country. The ad ends with a voice over “Idea hai toh, phone will ring’.

The story that this ad wants to communicate is that a traveller who was visiting various parts of the country had this ringtone and wherever he visited, people picked up on whatever they heard and sang whatever they remembered from the ringtone.
