Maruti Announces New Dzire Models Priced from Rs 5.07 Lakh Onwards

Maruti Suzuki, the dominant India based car manufacturer has announced the launch of a revamped version of its compact sedan Dzire that is highly popular. The new models of the sedan are priced in the range between Rs 5.07 lakh and Rs 7.81 lakh (Delhiex-showroom pricing).

Apart from carrying new features that will render enhanced comfort, style and convenience, the new Dzire model provides improved fuel efficiency, announced Maruti Suzuki in an official statement.

The diesel version of the new revamped Dzire model provides a fuel economy of 26.59 kmpl that is around 13 percent higher than that provided by the previous model of the compact sedan. The fuel economy of the petrol version is 20.85 kmpl, which is a 9 percent increase from the previous one, added the statement.

Notably, the diesel version of Dzire comes with a 1.3 litre engine and it priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 7.81 lakh. On the other hand, the petrol variant of the compact sedan from Maruti is given a 1.2 litre engine and it is priced between Rs 5.07 lakh and Rs 6.8 lakh. As mentioned above, all these pricing are based on the ex-showroom figures in the national capital.

Regarding the launch of the new variants of Dzire, MSI Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki, R S Kalsi claimed that the launch of the new model is a part of the firm’s efforts to revamp its existing models. The statement from the car manufacturer claims that the new Dzire models are touted to have premium features such as reverse parking sensors, engine push start and stop system, Bluetooth with audio and new motion alloy wheels.

Notably, Maruti Suzuki Dzire is one of the most renowned sedans in the Indian market. The vehicle has managed to acquire sales of 9.12 lakh units in the country since its initial launch in 2008. The vehicle was subjected to a major modification in 2012 to include advanced features. It is claimed to be the best selling entry level sedan in the last three years.
