No cheers for car makers at the end of this festive season


Dec 3, 2012: Car makers who were trying to capitalize on the extended festive season this year had very little to cheer about as the volumes went down sharply in November. The automobile industry which was already reeling under high interest rates and a slowdown were in for more shock as there was poor buying sentiment among buyers. The only two automobile companies which managed double digit growth were Maruti Suzuki which recorded a growth of 10% and Mahindra & Mahindra which had a growth of 38%.
