PepsiCo expands Tropicana range, launches three new variants of Tropicana Fruit Powders

Feb 21, 2013: Pepsico which entered India in 1989 has constantly being growing its portfolio of products. The Global beverages and snacks major which has various brands like Pepsi, Kurkure, Tropicana, Gatorade etc. has expanded its Tropicana range by introducing three new variants in the powdered form. The new variants of Tropicana Fruit Powders will be available in lemon, orange and mixed fruit flavours. Initially the new product ranges will be launched in Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune and it will be launched across the country in phases.

The new Tropicana Fruit Powders contains real fruits and does not contain preservatives or artificial colours. In times when private labels of fresh juices are giving a run for their money to branded juices, PepsiCo will be trying to leverage its global fruit expertise to pull the market. The company with the launch of this innovative product is trying to address the local tastes and preferences of the customers. In the words of Homi Battiwalla, Senior Director-Marketing (Colas, Juices & Hydration), PepsiCo, “With this new and innovative launch of Tropicana Fruit Powders, we are looking at expanding and diversifying our portfolio with offerings that fulfil the need gaps for Indian consumers, on the basis their local tastes and preferences.”
