Jan 30, 2013: In what could be a make or break game for RIM, the company changed its name to BlackBerry so as to maintain a single brand and launched two models in the market, the Q10 and Z10 with BlackBerry 10 Operating System. BlackBerry which has been facing a onslaught from both Apple and Samsung have been trying hard to ward of the threat with its new OS.

BlackBerry had been pushing the launch of BlackBerry 10 OS since 2012 onwards and when there were reports that it would be launched towards the end of 2012, the launch was pushed to 2013. A lot has been riding on the success of BlackBerry 10 and it would be crucial for the company for its long term viability. BlackBerry Q10 has got a keyboard and BlackBerry Z10 is a touch screen phone.
