Salutes to COVID warriors: Dettol replaces its iconic logo with pictures of COVID warriors

World No 1 Germ protection Brand Dettol, For the first time in their history, as a tribute to COVID-19 warriors, replacing its iconic logo with an image of a COVID protector along with the protector’s inspiring story.

Under Banega Swatch India Program Dettol announced the launch of a campaign #DettolSalutes has curated 100 such stories from across India and carried them on its liquid handwash packs in honor of the warriors who have helped numerous people during the pandemic. Dilen Gandhi, Regional Marketing Director, South Asia, Health and Nutrition, Reckitt, said that these stories are a source of hope and inspiration to the entire nation.

The purpose is to cover a wide range of consumers harmony from the nation over. With this change in the brand logo, Dettol aims to reach more to its consumers and show its solidarity by ingraining a feeling of desire to get through this stage.

To get more success stories of helping act during this pandemic and Dettol India is launched a website – www.dettolsalutes.com . On this consumers can share their stories and nominate their heroes and create customized virtual packs that can be shared on social media channels.

#DettolSalute handwash packs will be available on e-commerce sites and across 5 Lakh stores in India from the third week of June.

The COVID – 19 pandemics has accelerated the usage of health and hygiene products brands such as Dettol—which grew significant market share in the soaps category last year. Brands such as Lizol and Harpic have also made significant market gains by pandemic lifted the demand for cleaning products.
