Samsung sells more than 100 million Galaxy S smartphones worldwide

Jan 15, 2013: Samsung which has been fighting a pitched battle against Apple in the smartphone category has outsmarted the later by selling more than 100 million Galaxy S smartphones worldwide since its launch in 2010. With this, Samsung has established its dominant position in the world market. The break of the sales of Samsung Galaxy S phones are as follows:

Samsung Galaxy S Phone- 25 million units

Samsung Galaxy SII- 40 million units

Samsung Galaxy SIII- 40 million units

Samsung has already announced the launch of Galaxy SIV and in all probability the phone is said to break the past records. The Korean Electronics giant has been off late doing extremely well and has surged ahead with a market share of 31.3 per cent in third quarter of 2012 in the smartphone category.
