July 2, 2014: Close on the heels of slashing the prices of Samsung Galaxy S5 by almost around Rs.15,000, Samsung recently unveiled a new version of its Galaxy S5 smartphone. The company bought a mini version of Galaxy S5 mini i.e. Samsung Galaxy S5 mini. Galaxy S5 mini is mainly different from Galaxy S5 in terms of display, camera and processor. It has got a 4.5 inch HD screen with 720p whereas Galaxy S5 has got a 5.1 inch full HD display with 1080p. The camera of Galaxy S5 mini also has got a lesser resolution than Galaxy S5. Galaxy S5 mini has got an 8MP camera whereas Galaxy S has got 16 MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini has got connectivity suite of 2G, 3G, 4G, microUSB2.0 and NFC as well. Apart from this the smartphone is IP67 certified which means that Galaxy S5 mini is water and dust resistant to an extent. This is the same feature which the new generation smartphones from Sony and Panasonic have.
