Oct 13, 2012: TRAI reported that total telephone user base in India has grown by 1.4% to cross 965 million in April-June 2012. Wireless subscriber base stands at 934 million and wireline subscriber base declined over the period from 32 to 31 million. There is significant increase in rural teledensity now reaching 40.66 from 39.22.
