January 15, 2014: Get ready for an all new experience of YouTube. The largest video sharing social media site YouTube starting this Tuesday is launching a new help feature YouTube Nation which will help the viewers to see the latest trending and yet to be discovered content. To bring out this new feature YouTube has tied up with DreamWorks Animation and their job would be to daily create this brand new content feature.
Working on the principle of ‘What’s going to be the most seen?’, Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO, DreamWorks Animation was quoted as saying that “In a sea of the infinite, this is a lighthouse.” The job of YouTube curators would from now on will not only be going through algorithms and analytics and suggest users what’s the most seen but to suggest What’s going to be the most seen? A five minute “YouTube Nation” will start getting aired from this Tuesday and this program which is targeted at users in the age group of 18-30 will have more than one hour of content.
YouTube Nation which will be advertiser supported will be launching more verticals like “YTN Sports”, “YTN Music” and “YTN News” in the mid year.
