Maruti Suzuki concludes inaugural season of ‘Rock N’ Road 4X4 Masters’ with a thrilling off-roading championship finale in Goa

Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, announced the culmination of the inaugural season of ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ championship. The exhilarating off-roading spectacle, tailored exclusively for passionate off- roaders who are proud owners of the JIMNY, came to a thrilling finale in Goa, crowning Mr. Mihir Dharkar as the champion from the city of Mumbai. Accompanying Mihir on the podium were Mr. Shantanu Grover from Delhi and Mr. Gurmeet Virdi from Chandigarh, securing their positions as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Along with other prizes, the winner and the first runner-up of the championship won a rare opportunity to witness the coveted Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia, one of the world’s toughest offroad championships.

Launched in January 2024, the inaugural season of the ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ championship captivated off-roading enthusiasts across the nation. Designed to provide JIMNY owners with a stage to put their off-roading skills to test, the championship witnessed participation from over 200 enthusiasts from 8 cities – Delhi, Chandigarh, Shillong, Hyderabad, Vagamon, Bengaluru, Mumbai/Pune, and Goa. The participation of a diverse set of contestants ranging from professional off-roaders to amateurs gave everyone a chance to learn and grow while keeping
the thrill quotient high.

The championship was structured in two phases – qualifiers, organized across 8 cities, followed by a grand finale in Goa. The ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ championship allowed JIMNY owners to test their skills across a multitude of challenges such as ascents,descents, and undulations across varying off-road terrain.The top-two participants from each of the 8 cities
progressed to the finale, showcasing their skills over a curated track and unleashing the potential of their JIMNY.
