Hoopr Opens ‘Pre-series A’ Round with 2x Growth In Valuation

India, 17th November – Hoopr, India’s leading music licensing platform, has raised ₹4 crore in the first tranche of its Pre-Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from multiple family offices and existing investors. Furthermore, Hoopr is engaged in advanced talks with several investors to raise more capital in this round. This round values the company at ₹160 crore post-money and brings its total capital raised to ₹18 crore. The milestone marks a significant step forward in Hoopr’s mission to simplify and scale India’s digital music licensing and branded content ecosystem.

The newly raised capital will accelerate the expansion of Hoopr Smash — Hoopr’s self-serve, automated music licensing marketplace — while deepening its Bollywood, regional, and global music catalogues. This growth will unlock new monetization avenues for artists, composers, and music labels alike. The funds will also be used to strengthen product innovation, scale talent, and fuel global expansion, as Hoopr works to align its catalog with international markets and onboard global music for licensing in India.

Hoopr will continue to invest in and strengthen its AI-driven product advancements — from intelligent auto-tagging and copyright detection to creative content generation tools — all underpinned by a transparent, tech-first revenue model that safeguards brands and ensures fair payouts to creators. Together, these initiatives bring Hoopr closer to its vision of building a world-class, AI-powered music licensing ecosystem from India, for the world.

Hoopr has cemented its position as a trusted industry leader through strategic partnerships with Yash Raj Films Music, Universal Music, Saga Music, Merchant Records, and Adobe, while working closely with the Indian Performing Rights Society (IPRS) to set new benchmarks for transparency and accountability in music licensing. Over the past three years, Hoopr has collaborated with 300+ independent artists across 21 regional labels, disbursing more than ₹4.5 crore in royalties — a testament to its commitment to empowering creators and building a fair, thriving music economy.
