Bengaluru, 19th January 2026: The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Bengaluru Chapter is set to host an Inclusion • Knowledge • CSR Evening on Monday, 19 January, bringing together industry leaders, restaurateurs, and changemakers to spotlight inclusive employment practices within the food & beverage sector.
The event will be held at The Bier Club, Lavelle Road, from 5:00 PM onwards, and will feature Ms. Alina Alam, Founder of Mitti Café, as the keynote speaker. Widely recognised as one of India’s foremost social entrepreneurs, Alina Alam has pioneered a unique café model that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities—redefining inclusion as capability with dignity rather than charity.
The evening will include a knowledge session on “Integrating Highly-Abled Individuals into the F&B Workforce”, alongside a live demonstration by Mitti Café’s star-performing team members, showcasing operational excellence and real-world inclusivity in action.
Renowned business leader Mr. Rezwan Razack, Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director of Prestige Group, will facilitate the session with Ms. Alam. Beyond his corporate leadership, Mr. Razack is also globally respected in the field of numismatics and, in 2025, became the first Indian to be inducted into the International Bank Note Society Hall of Fame.
Ananth Narayan, Head – NRAI Bengaluru Chapter, said: “The hospitality industry has always been about people, and true progress comes when opportunity is accessible to all. Through this initiative, we hope to move beyond conversation and encourage structured, sustainable inclusion of highly-abled individuals across our member restaurants. It is an important step towards building a more empathetic, skilled, and future-ready F&B ecosystem.”
Through this initiative, the NRAI Bengaluru Chapter aims to encourage structured employment opportunities for highly-abled individuals across member restaurant outlets, reinforcing the association’s commitment to responsible growth and inclusive industry practices.
The evening will conclude with industry networking and a bonding session celebrating purpose, people, and partnership reflecting NRAI’s vision of building an F&B ecosystem where ability defines opportunity and inclusion becomes standard practice.
