India, January 22, 2026 – Knya, India’s leading medical lifestyle brand, in partnership with Mpower, a mental health initiative of Aditya Birla Education Trust, today announced the launch of Breakpoint, India’s first dedicated, 24/7 toll-free mental health helpline exclusively for medical professionals.
The collaboration brings together Knya’s deep engagement with the healthcare community and Mpower’s long-standing clinical expertise in mental health counselling and helpline-led emotional support to provide immediate, confidential assistance to doctors and healthcare workers across the country.
Breakpoint is a direct outcome of Knya Vitals 2025, the brand’s nationwide research study based on insights from over 10,000 medical professionals. The study revealed that 83% of medical professionals report emotional or mental fatigue, 70% feel unsafe at work, and the 25–34 age group experiences the highest levels of workload and burnout. These findings underscored the urgent need for an always-available, trusted mental health support system tailored specifically for the medical community.
The launch of Breakpoint marks a significant milestone in building a structured mental health support infrastructure for India’s healthcare workforce. The helpline is open to doctors, resident doctors, interns, nurses, paramedics, allied healthcare professionals, and medical and allied healthcare students, including MBBS students. The service is completely free, with no usage limits, and is designed to be pressure-free—focusing on emotional support, grounding, and active listening rather than diagnosis or treatment.
Abhijeet Kaji, Co-Founder, Knya, said, “Knya Vitals 2025 made it clear that medical professionals need more than acknowledgement—they need access to support in real time. With Breakpoint, and through our partnership with Mpower, we are creating a safe, confidential space where members of the medical community can reach out without hesitation. This initiative reflects our commitment to translating insight-led research into meaningful, on-ground impact.”
Ms. Parveen Shaikh, President, Mpower, said, “We are grateful to Knya for bringing this critical conversation to the forefront and for partnering with us on Breakpoint. For over a decade, Mpower has been committed to expanding access to professional mental health support across India, including counselling through helpline-led interventions that have supported more than one lakh beneficiaries to date. Medical professionals’ shoulder immense emotional responsibility while caring for others, often without the time or space to address their own mental well-being. Breakpoint is designed to offer the medical community a dedicated, confidential, and professionally supported helpline that is accessible around the clock, while also strengthening awareness around the importance of mental health within the healthcare ecosystem.”
Enabled and delivered by Mpower (an initiative of Aditya Birla Education Trust), Breakpoint offers access to trained mental health professionals, multilingual support, and robust confidentiality safeguards. By design, Knya does not receive any personal or identifiable user data, reinforcing trust, privacy, and psychological safety for all who reach out.
