23 January 2026, India: As India’s startup ecosystem matures and the narrative shifts from rapid scale to building resilient, long-term businesses, Rukam Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, recently released “Women in Action,” a new intellectual property (IP) designed to amplify the voices of women founders building businesses in India.
In an endeavor to give back to the society, “Women in Action” is a free-flow conversation series hosted by Archana Jahagirdar, Founder and Managing Partner, Rukam Capital. The series brings together women entrepreneurs across sectors for candid, in-depth discussions on entrepreneurship, focusing not just on what they are building, but how they are building it, and what it truly means to be a woman founder navigating India’s startup ecosystem.
At a time when only 7.5% of Indian startups are women-led, these startups continue to face gaps in visibility, access to capital, and representation. “Women in Action” aims to move beyond surface-level success stories, it aims to create space for honest conversations around leadership, decision-making, early failures, resilience, and the realities of building companies from the ground up.
Commenting on the launch, Archana Jahagirdar, Founder and Managing Partner, Rukam Capital, said, “The idea behind ‘Women in Action’ was born from years of meeting women founders who are building strong businesses but rarely get the space to tell their stories in their own words. Early-stage entrepreneurship is complex and deeply personal, especially for women. Through this series, we want to create an authentic platform that fosters visibility, dialogue, and long-term impact within India’s evolving startup landscape.”
Season 1 of “Women in Action” will feature 10 episodes, spotlighting women founders from consumer, health-tech, and lifestyle sectors. The season includes conversations with founders such as Aparna Saxena, Founder of Antinorm; Garima Kakkar, Co-founder of Fraganote; Ria, CEO & Co- founder of Sychedelic; Rachna Sarup, Founder of Rachna Sarup; Anandita Mitra, Founder & CEO of Cosora; Neha Purohit, Co-founder at Kalānkit; Manishaa Soin, Founder and CEO, Aica Health; Pavitra Dave, Co-founder of Daily Bread; Prerna, Founder and Director Raensook; Bawana, Founder NoFuss Foodworks.
The episodes will be released on Rukam Capital’s Founder and Managing Partner, Archana Jahagirdar’s Instagram and LinkedIn channels, enabling wider access to founder-led conversations to inspire and empower. Each episode highlights the lived experiences of women entrepreneurs, how they navigate early-stage uncertainty, build teams, make trade-offs, and grow businesses while challenging entrenched norms.
The launch of “Women in Action” aligns closely with Rukam Capital’s broader philosophy of backing founders who are building with conviction and intent. The content series will resonate with every woman entrepreneur who are currently in the segment or are planning to make their entrepreneurial debut. Through their stories, these founders have defined what Women in action stands for ambition, resilience, and scale, not just success
The firm has backed 30+ early-stage startups, including Burger Singh, BECO, Sleepy Owl Coffee, GO DESi, The Indus Valley Cookware, WiseLife, among others, and continues to focus on supporting founders building differentiated, scalable, and resilient businesses.
