Reel World Entertainment’s Chatha Pacha has entered a new phase of its success story as the film now streams on Netflix. After a strong theatrical run that pushed its box office gross past ₹40 crore, the film’s total business, including theatrical and non-theatrical revenues, has reached ₹60 crore.
The film has opened to an encouraging response on Netflix, extending its reach beyond theatres and strengthening its pan-Indian presence. The digital streaming adds to what has already been a commercially solid journey for the production house.
The film’s theatrical performance saw it cross ₹40 crore in box office collections, reflecting strong audience acceptance across markets. In addition to its domestic success, the team also executed separate language releases in key international territories based on demand, including Tamil versions released in Sri Lanka and Malaysia. This strategic expansion further strengthened the film’s overseas footprint and contributed to its cumulative ₹60 crore total business.
For Reel World Entertainment, this milestone is more than a numerical achievement. Mounted as the banner’s debut production, Chatha Pacha was positioned at scale from inception. From its pre-release stage, the film carried significant market attention, driven by its ambitious packaging, strategic planning, and clear commercial vision. It was the talk of the industry even before release. Discussions with Netflix began at an early stage of the project and eventually translated into a significant double-digit OTT acquisition after the theatrical run, reinforcing confidence in both the film and the production house behind it.

Backed by Creative Producer Shihan Shoukath and produced by Ritesh & Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan and Shoukath Ali under Reel World Entertainment, the banner has demonstrated its ability to mount large-scale, commercially viable projects from its very first outing. The success of Chatha Pacha firmly establishes Reel World Entertainment as a serious and ambitious player in the industry. Directed by debut filmmaker Adhvaith Nayar, the film features Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Vishak Nair, and Ishan Shoukath in key roles, with Shri Mammootty’s celebrated cameo as Walter.
Following Chatha Pacha’s theatrical success and strong digital debut, Reel World Entertainment is currently in active development on multiple upcoming projects, with major announcements expected soon. The momentum generated by Chatha Pacha marks the beginning of a larger slate for the banner as it continues to scale its ambitions.
Chatha Pacha is also one of the most technically well-crafted films in recent times. The music marked the first Malayalam project of Shankar Ehsaan Loy, with chart-topping tracks adding to the film’s commercial energy. The technical crew includes Anend C. Chandran for cinematography, Praveen Prabhakar for editing, Sanoop Thykkoodam for screenplay, Mujeeb Majeed for background score, Vinayak Sasikumar for lyrics, and Kalai Kingson for action choreography. Music rights are held by T-Series.
The film was distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films in Kerala, Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media in Telangana and Hyderabad, PVR INOX Pictures in Tamil Nadu & Karnataka, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in North India, and Plot Pictures internationally.
With Chatha Pacha, Reel World Entertainment has not only delivered a commercial success but also positioned itself among the emerging major banners in Malayalam cinema. Achieving ₹60 crore in total business with its debut venture signals the scale and confidence with which the banner operates. As it moves ahead with multiple ambitious projects in development, Reel World Entertainment continues to strengthen its footprint in the industry.
