Justdial Limited, India’s No. 1 local search engine, has reported a substantial year-on-year rise in consumer searches related to Electric Vehicles (EVs) across India, based on an analysis comparing search volumes between February 2024-January 2025 and February 2025-January 2026. The data reflects expanding consumer interest in EV infrastructure, vehicle access and supporting power systems.
At a national level, the category Electric Vehicle Charging Stations registered a significant 127% increase, indicating accelerating demand for charging infrastructure and location discovery. Among key cities, Delhi recorded a 98% surge, followed by Mumbai at 82% and Pune at 38%, highlighting growing urban search momentum around EV readiness.
Searches for Electric Vehicle Dealers rose 40% pan-India, with Delhi witnessing a 51% increase, pointing to heightened intent around EV purchase exploration.
Additionally, interest in EV Batteries and Power Systems grew 96% nationally, suggesting rising awareness around energy storage, battery performance and related components within the EV ecosystem.
