Phoenix Palladium Unveils ‘Experience Kyoto’ A Spring Summer Celebration Inspired by Japan’s Sakura Season

Mumbai, 26th March 2026: Phoenix Palladium, Mumbai’s premier luxury lifestyle destination, ushers in the Spring Summer season with Experience Kyoto, an immersive cultural showcase inspired by Japan’s iconic Sakura season and curated in collaboration with Seema Sajdeh, entrepreneur, fashion designer known for her distinctive style and appearances on Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. The experience brings her signature contemporary aesthetic and fashion-forward creative lens to life through a serene Japanese-inspired landscape. Launching from 24th March, Experience Kyoto blends visual storytelling, interactive experiences, retail discovery, and culinary moments, with Seema’s presence at the launch further marking the unveiling of this immersive seasonal celebration.

Inspired by the romance of Kyoto in spring, Experience Kyoto brings together cherry blossom installations, traditional Japanese motifs, immersive photo moments, and themed experiences that transport visitors into a world of culture, charm, and discovery. Designed as a celebration of the season, the experience invites guests to explore a visually rich journey where every corner is crafted to evoke the beauty and spirit of Sakura time in Japan.

Visitors enter through a grand Torii Gate, marking the symbolic arrival into a traditional Japanese setting and establishing the tone for the experience ahead. One of the key highlights is the Cherry Blossom Tunnel, an immersive walkway filled with Sakura blooms and soft lighting, created as one of the destination’s most striking visual moments. At the heart of the installation is the Centre Island – Zen Landscape, featuring a lotus-filled water body, a grand Sakura tree, a wooden bridge, and an interactive boat experience that together create a tranquil yet dramatic focal point.

Further extending the Kyoto-inspired setting are the Gion Light Corner, inspired by lantern-lit Japanese streets, and the Maneki Neko Photo Zone, which adds a playful and culturally iconic touch through the Lucky Cat installation with an interactive moving hand. Across the destination, hanging installations including lantern chandeliers, cherry blossom hangings, and Kanzashi-inspired floral elements transform the atrium into a magical indoor Sakura garden. With every installation designed as a picture-perfect moment, the entire experience has been envisioned as an immersive photo opportunity for visitors.

Seema Sajdeh, Entrepreneur and Fashion Designer, said, “Phoenix Palladium continues to be at the forefront of creating immersive, design-led experiences, making it the perfect canvas to bring a concept like Experience Kyoto to life. The scale, the audience, and the space here allow ideas to come alive in a way that feels both elevated and engaging. With this collaboration, the intention is to interpret the beauty and serenity of Japan’s Sakura season through a contemporary lens, blending global inspiration with a modern aesthetic. At the same time, experiences like these are also shaping how retail is evolving in the city, moving beyond traditional formats to something more immersive and experiential. Every element is thoughtfully curated to create a visually rich environment that invites people to explore, engage, and discover something truly unique in the heart of Mumbai.”

The experience is further brought alive through specially curated kiosks that add both authenticity and discovery to the celebration. Guests can enjoy a Sushi Bar by Robata Kuuraku and a Matcha Bar by Kitchen Garden by Suzette, introducing Japanese-inspired food and beverage moments to the journey. Complementing these is an accessory and stationery experience by MUJI, bringing the brand’s signature minimalist sensibility into the larger Kyoto narrative.

With Experience Kyoto, Phoenix Palladium continues to push the boundaries of experiential retail by bringing together global cultural inspiration, immersive design, food, fashion, and interactive storytelling in one destination. Visitors can expect a season filled with picturesque moments, curated discoveries, and a fresh interpretation of Kyoto’s springtime magic in the heart of Mumbai.
