India, April 04th, 2026: bigbasket, a TATA Enterprise announced the launch of its latest innovation in healthy eating, bb Royal Slow Sugar Release Atta. It was officially unveiled by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology (I/C) at Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) in Mysore.
Developed exclusively for bigbasket by CSIR–CFTRI, the atta blends wheat, soya, buckwheat, Bengal dal, psyllium husk, oats, and fenugreek in a carefully calibrated recipe. Clinical tests in accordance with BIS Guideline IS 16643:2018 (ISO 26642:2010) confirm an in vivo Glycemic Index of less than 45, significantly lower than conventional wheat flour.
This unique formulation helps maintain steady blood sugar levels, reducing spikes after meals, while promoting longer-lasting satiety and sustained energy. It is designed to support an active lifestyle and assist with weight management, making it a practical choice for health-conscious consumers seeking everyday nutritional solutions.
