Classic Marble Company appoints Manit Shah as Chief Strategy Officer to drive global strategy and transformation

National, May 20, 2026: Classic Marble Company (CMC), one of India’s leading surface solution brands, trusted across millions of luxury and premium homes and spaces, has announced the appointment of Manit Shah as its Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Representing the next generation of leadership at CMC, Manit will lead the company’s global market development and mid to long-term strategic roadmap, with a strong focus on expanding international presence, strengthening domestic market access, and identifying strategic growth opportunities.

As part of his mandate, Manit is driving initiatives to scale CMC’s presence across key markets by setting up strategic stock points, strengthening the company’s distribution network, and deepening engagement with the architecture, design, and interiors community. In parallel, he is focused on building a future-ready CMC by gradually bringing AI and technology into operations to help improve efficiency, traceability, and customer experience. This includes initiatives such as RFID-enabled product tracking and virtual gallery tours, with a vision to further evolve these into immersive digital experiences. He is also actively evaluating mergers and acquisitions, both globally and in India, as part of the company’s broader growth and expansion strategy.

Manit’s journey at CMC began with the company’s Centre of Excellence, a platform designed to build leadership depth through cross-functional exposure, where he developed a strong foundation across the business. He now steps into the role of Chief Strategy Officer while continuing his association with the programme, bringing hands-on experience and a strong understanding of operations, market dynamics, and strategic execution. He is an alumnus of the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, where he studied Business Administration with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship. His appointment reflects CMC’s continued focus on developing next-generation leadership grounded in deep functional exposure and a long-term view of the business.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Manit is also driving CMC’s sustainability agenda across operations. The company is progressing towards a carbon emission reduction plan, with a transition to electric machinery, a robust water recycling ecosystem, and solar-powered operations across facilities. He is also leading ongoing research into alternative materials such as bio-resins. Alongside this, he will continue to shape the growth of KalingaStone, the company’s flagship engineered marble brand, across key markets.

Commenting on the appointment Amit Shah, Founder and Managing Director, Classic Marble Company, said, “CMC is at an important inflection point as we continue to expand our global footprint and strengthen our position as a design-led surfaces brand. Manit’s appointment reflects our focus on building long-term strategic capability within the organisation. He will play a key role in shaping our growth roadmap, strengthening market access, and advancing our efforts towards a more sustainable and future-ready business.”

Mohanraj Jagannivasan, CEO, Classic Marble Company, said, “Developing next-generation leadership is a key priority for us at CMC. Manit’s journey within the organisation reflects a deep understanding of the business and a strong strategic perspective, built through hands-on experience across functions.  As we scale globally, with exports set to grow significantly across key markets like the GCC, Africa, the U.S., and the far East, his role will be critical in strengthening our market access and driving this next phase of growth.”
