INDIA, May 21, 2026: Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG) has inaugurated its new Global Capability Centre (GCC) at My Home Twitza in HITEC City, Hyderabad, further strengthening its long-term commitment to India. The new 120-seater facility will become FEG’s third-largest technology hub globally, after Prague in the Czech Republic and Split in Croatia.
The Hyderabad GCC will support FEG’s global operations across data engineering, analytics, business intelligence (BI), product development, IT services, and artificial intelligence (AI). The centre is expected to play a critical role in driving technology-led innovation and supporting the company’s next phase of growth across international markets.
The inauguration was attended by FEG’s senior global leadership, including Dieter John, Group CEO; Sotiris Haritos, Group CTO; and Iain Child, Managing Partner at Penta Investments, the owner of FEG, who travelled to India for the occasion.
The new facility represents a significant scale-up of the company’s India presence and reflects its confidence in Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a global technology and innovation hub. The company cited the city’s strong ecosystem and deep talent pool in AI, data science, analytics, and engineering as key drivers behind the expansion.
€12 Million Investment Commitment in India
FEG has committed to investing €12 million in India over the next five years, reinforcing its long-term confidence in the country’s technology ecosystem and talent base.
The new facility represents a significant scale-up of FEG’s Hyderabad presence and reflects the company’s focus on building future-ready digital capabilities at global scale. According to FEG, Hyderabad’s strong ecosystem for AI, engineering, data science, and analytics played a key role in the company’s decision to expand further in the city.
Hyderabad GCC to Anchor AI and Advanced Analytics
The Hyderabad centre will serve as a strategic technology and innovation hub supporting FEG’s omnichannel betting and gaming operations across multiple European markets. The GCC will drive capabilities across business intelligence, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), software engineering, product development, IT monitoring, automation, and customer experience optimization.
The expansion aligns with FEG’s broader “FEG 2.0” strategy and its “Fortuna Fit for Future” (F4) transformation program, focused on building scalable, technology-driven, and data-led capabilities for long-term growth. As part of this vision, the India GCC will play a key role in embedding AI into core business functions, enabling predictive analytics, intelligent automation, smarter decision-making, and enhanced digital experiences across global operations.
Dieter John, Group CEO, FEG, said the Hyderabad hub reflects the company’s long-term vision of building globally integrated and future-ready capabilities. “India is central to our ambition of scaling internationally and sustainably across markets. Over the years, Hyderabad has evolved into a strategic capability hub for FEG, combining strong engineering talent with deep expertise in AI, analytics, and digital technologies. This new facility strengthens our ability to build globally scalable and innovation-led solutions.”
Sotiris Haritos, Group CTO, highlighted the growing role of the India centre in driving next-generation technology capabilities for the group. “The Hyderabad GCC will be instrumental in building future-focused digital platforms powered by AI and data intelligence. Beyond supporting operations, the centre will contribute directly to product innovation, intelligent automation, and real-time business insights that will shape FEG’s technology evolution globally.”
Avinash Gupta, Managing Director, FEG India Solutions, said the India operations have steadily evolved from a support function into a multi-capability strategic centre. “What started with a single capability has today grown into a high-impact technology hub spanning BI, AI, software testing, IT monitoring, automation, and gaming operations. The Hyderabad GCC is now deeply embedded into FEG’s global strategy and will continue to drive innovation, agility, and long-term business value.”
Iain Child, Managing Partner at Penta Investments, added that India’s strong technology ecosystem and talent depth make it a natural choice for long-term strategic investments. “India offers the right mix of innovation, scalability, and highly skilled talent. Strengthening capabilities in AI, analytics, and engineering through the Hyderabad GCC will be important in supporting FEG’s long-term competitiveness and global growth ambitions.”
