Bengaluru: Senior advocate and President of the Legal, Human Rights and Right to Information Department of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), C.M. Dhananjaya, has been elected as a Member of the Karnataka State Bar Council.
Elections for the 23-member Karnataka State Bar Council were held on March 11, and the counting process was completed through the preferential voting system. In the final results, C.M. Dhananjaya emerged victorious.
Dhananjaya has achieved the rare distinction of being elected to the Bar Council in his very first attempt, a feat that reflects both his professional accomplishments and the confidence reposed in him by the legal fraternity.
Apart from his legal practice, C.M. Dhananjaya has served in various public positions, including as Chairman of the Karnataka State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KSIIDC). Recognizing his sustained efforts towards safeguarding the interests of advocates and promoting their professional growth and welfare, the legal community across the state has elected him to the Bar Council with overwhelming support.
His election has been widely welcomed, and he has received congratulations from advocates, eminent members of the legal fraternity, and leaders of various organizations.
