National, 25th June 2026 – ClearTax, India’s leading fintech platform, has launched its new brand campaign, ‘Double Check’. The campaign is built on a simple insight. When money is involved, Indians check things twice. A transaction, an investment, a document before it goes out. ClearTax brings that same instinct to tax filing.
The campaign comes to life across three films, each following a trader, an investor, and a wealth builder using expert-assisted filing.
Behind the campaign is a clear change in how India files, and much of it follows the ₹7 lakh rebate. Ever since the ₹7 lakh rebate was introduced in 2023, more people had room to move beyond salary into investing and trading, and that has been reflected in the way people file. ClearTax’s data shows the sharpest growth in the ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh income band, where filings using ITR-3 more than doubled, growing 116% year on year, while ITR-2 filings grew around 42% in the same band. The ₹0 to ₹5 lakh band, by contrast, has fallen behind for the first time. Nearly a third of all returns are now filed on ITR-2 or ITR-3. Now, with the rebate threshold raised to ₹12 lakh, that share is expected to climb further this filing season.
This tracks a longer change. Across recent assessment years, returns have steadily become more complex as more individuals report equities, F&O, ESOPs, and other assets alongside salary income.
The intention behind ‘Double Check’ sits on top of this. As returns get more complex, taxpayers want more than convenience. They want to know the return is accurate, that eligible savings are not missed, and that help is there when they need it. The campaign positions ClearTax as the partner that gives that reassurance.
