Marriott Bengaluru Cluster Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2026 with ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’ Theme

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, June 30, 2026: The Marriott International Hotels in Bengaluru marked the International Day of Yoga 2026 with a collaborative wellness session hosted at the Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Centre. Aligned with this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, the initiative brought together associates from 17 Marriott properties across the city, reinforcing the brand’s enduring commitment to holistic well-being, mindfulness, and active living.

The Bengaluru cluster session saw participation from approximately 135 associates, led by certified fitness trainers Shikha Singh. Shikha is the reigning HYROX India Champion and is set to represent India at the HYROX World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden. The session encouraged participants to experience yoga as a practice that builds physical fitness, mental balance, and long-term endurance.

Speaking on the occasion, Lizanne Pinto, Senior Director of Human Resources South & East India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka, Marriott International said- “At Marriott we truly live our core value of ‘Putting People First’. The wellbeing of our associates is driven with purpose, at all our hotels. Through this year’s International Yoga Day, we focused on the most powerful practices for building physical strength, mental resilience, and sustained well-being, and we are proud to champion this across our properties. Hosting the Bengaluru cluster initiative at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Centre gave us a meaningful platform to bring associates together, turning a wellness milestone into a moment of genuine community engagement. The strong turnout across 17 properties reflects on the engagement of our associates and our commitment towards building a culture where health and balance are not afterthoughts but part of how we work and live every day”.

The initiative reflected Marriott International’s sustained commitment to embedding well-being into everyday associate journeys. By convening teams from across the Bengaluru cluster, it underscored the value the brand places on community, mindful living, and long-term health values that Marriott International continues to champion through meaningful, purpose-led engagement.
