India’s food tells countless stories, every state bringing its own flavours, traditions, and dishes to the table. Bringing this diversity together in one place, the States of India Festival at The Orchid Hotel Pune invites guests to experience a journey across the country through food.
At the heart of the experience is an expansive buffet that celebrates the richness and variety of Indian cuisine. Each week, the spotlight shifts to a different region of India, offering guests an opportunity to explore distinct local flavours, signature dishes, and culinary traditions from across the country.
The journey begins with North India (21 June – 27 June) featuring rich, hearty flavours and regional favourites, followed by South India (28 June – 4 July) with dishes rooted in tradition and crafted with flavour. The festival then travels to East India (5 July – 11 July), showcasing comforting classics and culinary artistry, before concluding with West India (12 July – 18 July) inspired by coastlines, spice trails, and bold regional flavours.
From regional favourites and time-honoured recipes to dishes that capture the essence of local kitchens, the festival has been thoughtfully curated to offer something familiar, something nostalgic, and perhaps even something new to discover.
Whether it’s gathering over comforting classics or returning each week to experience a new region on the menu, the festival promises a dining experience that feels warm, indulgent, and distinctly Indian.
