Passionate in Marketing – In Conversation With Mr. Arjun Bhojaraj, Chief Business office, RouteMatic

  1. RouteMatic recently unveiled a refreshed brand identity. What drove this transformation, and what does it reflect about the company’s evolution?

Our brand refresh wasn’t just about altering how we look, it was about aligning our identity with who we have become. With the genesis of RouteMatic in 2013, we were primarily known as an employee transport technology platform. Today, we’ve evolved into a full stack Al first corporate mobility platform, bringing together AI, fleet operations, transport automation, compliance, employee safety, and real-time decision intelligence in one integrated ecosystem. We now not only provide technology, but also orchestrate end-to-end mobility operations, making employee transportation a critical part of enterprise infrastructure.

This transformation arrives at a time when corporate mobility itself has undergone a structural shift. What was once perceived as a back-office logistical operations have become a deliberate boardroom priority for enterprises, GCCs, and IT/ITeS organizations. Companies are gradually recognizing that employee transmute has a direct effect on workforce efficiency, employee knowledge, safety, ESG goals, corporate stability, and employer brand. Our previous identity no longer represented the scale of the platform we had built or the strategic role we now play for our customers.

Our refreshed brand reflects this evolution. The forward-moving arrow in our new logo symbolizes progress, momentum, and continuous innovation, while the cleaner visual identity reinforces our commitment to building a modern, technology-first enterprise platform. Our new brand philosophy “Powered by Intelligence. Driven by Care.”, captures the essence of RouteMatic. Every journey at RouteMatic combines intelligent innovation with human empathy, ensuring mobility that is efficient, scalable, safe, reliable, and employee centric.

Today, RouteMatic powers millions of employee journeys for over 400 leading enterprises with AI-driven routing, real-time operational intelligence, integrated fleet management, tech-enabled safety, and measurable sustainability outcomes. Our new identity reflects not just the company we are today, but our ambition to define the future of intelligent corporate mobility, helping enterprises move their workforce smarter, safer, and more sustainably at scale.

  1. As the corporate mobility sector matures, how important is branding in building differentiation and trust in a largely B2B market?

In our Industry, a strong brand is a symbol of trust and credibility. Today, CHROs, workplace leaders, procurement teams and IT security heads asking pertinent questions: How can this partner ensure employee safety and excellent commute experience? Will they help mitigate operational risk? Can they support our sustainability goals while delivering a consistent experience across locations? We have spent years building that trust and credibility. The new branding helps us deliver that more seamlessly now.

  1. What role does marketing play in repositioning employee commute from an operational service to a strategic workplace experience?

Marketing’s role today is to change the conversation around employee mobility. For years, corporate commuting was viewed as a logistics function, a cost centre focused simply on moving employees from Point A to Point B. That no longer reflects the realities of today’s workplace.

Research increasingly shows that the daily commute has a direct impact on productivity, employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention. As Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and large enterprises continue to expand, managing employee mobility has become a strategic workplace challenge rather than just a transportation need.

Marketing’s role is to reposition mobility as a business enabler, one that supports employee experience, strengthens employer branding, improves operational resilience, advances sustainability goals through smarter routing and ridesharing, and provides data-driven insights for better workplace decisions. However, changing this perception requires more than messaging. It requires credible proof. This is where customer case studies, measurable business outcomes, and real-world success stories become critical. Demonstrating tangible impact whether it’s improvements in employee satisfaction, reductions in commute time and costs, enhanced safety, higher ride utilization, lower carbon emissions, or operational efficiencies helps enterprise decision-makers see mobility not as an operational expense, but as a strategic investment with measurable business value.

The conversation is no longer about transporting employees. It’s about helping organizations build better workplaces through smarter, safer, and more intelligent mobility solutions and backing that narrative with evidence that proves the business impact.

  1. How are AI, data-driven insights, and storytelling shaping the way B2B brands engage with enterprise customers today?

Enterprise customers today don’t make decisions based on product demonstrations alone—they expect evidence and measurable outcomes. AI is transforming how businesses use operational data, moving beyond reporting past performance to predicting demand, optimizing routes, improving fleet utilization, anticipating disruptions, and enhancing the overall employee commute experience.

At RouteMatic, we see AI as an intelligence layer that helps enterprises make smarter mobility decisions, not just automate transport operations.

Equally important is how that data is communicated. Business leaders don’t want spreadsheets—they want insights. They want to know how commute times have reduced, safety has improved, carbon emissions have been lowered, employee satisfaction has evolved, and what tangible business value their mobility investments are delivering.

This is where storytelling becomes essential. Marketing’s role is to turn complex operational data into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with CHROs, CFOs, workplace leaders, and other decision-makers. The strongest B2B brands today combine AI, operational intelligence, and human storytelling to build credibility, demonstrate impact, and foster long-term trust.

  1. With India’s GCC ecosystem expanding rapidly, how are changing workplace expectations influencing the way mobility brands position themselves?

India’s GCC boom is redefining the corporate mobility landscape. Today’s GCCs are far more than back-office operations, they drive global engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and business-critical functions. As competition for top talent intensifies, employee experience has become a strategic differentiator.

At the same time, hybrid work has changed what employees expect from the workplace. Office days are now centred on collaboration, innovation, and culture, making the daily commute an important part of the overall workplace experience.

As a result, mobility providers are evolving from transport vendors to workplace experience partners. Enterprises today expect solutions that deliver a consistent experience across cities, integrated safety and compliance, AI-driven route optimization, sustainability insights, and seamless digital experiences for both employees and administrators.

The conversation has shifted from “How many vehicles do you operate?” to “How can you help us attract talent, improve employee experience, and operate more efficiently?” That shift reflects a fundamental evolution in the role of corporate mobility.

  1. Looking ahead, what do you believe will define successful B2B brands in the corporate mobility space over the next few years?

The next generation of corporate mobility brands will be defined not by the number of vehicles they manage, but by the intelligence and value they deliver.

Five qualities will distinguish the market leaders. First, AI-driven decision-making that predicts vehicle demand, optimizes operations in real time, and enables proactive planning. Second, a clear focus on measurable business outcomes, with customers expecting tangible improvements in employee experience, operational efficiency, sustainability, and cost optimization. Third, integrated workplace ecosystems, where mobility seamlessly connects with HR platforms, workplace technology, and access management systems.

Equally important will be trust and transparency. As mobility becomes business-critical, enterprises will increasingly choose partners that consistently deliver safety, compliance, data security, and operational reliability. Finally, purpose-led innovation, through electrification, shared mobility, intelligent routing, and sustainability, will become a key competitive differentiator rather than an added feature.

As India’s enterprise ecosystem continues to evolve, driven by the rapid growth of GCCs and AI-powered workplaces, corporate mobility will be viewed as strategic infrastructure rather than operational support. The brands that succeed will be those that combine technology, operational excellence, and human-centric experiences to create measurable business value, not just successful commutes.
