New Delhi, July 2026 — Shangri-La Eros New Delhi invites guests to Tamra, its award-winning international cuisine restaurant, for A Taste of Assam, an exclusive pop-up in collaboration with Chef Pin by home chef Ayesha Zaman. From 30th July to 1st August, 2026 the three-day showcase will present an authentic exploration of Assamese cuisine, introducing diners to the distinctive flavours, culinary traditions, and cultural heritage of one of India’s most remarkable regions.
For home chef Ayesha Zaman, every dish tells the story of home. What began as a childhood fascination with cooking at the age of five has grown into a decade-long journey dedicated to preserving and sharing the cuisine of Assam. Through successful culinary ventures, collaborations with leading brands, and appearances at some of the country’s most celebrated food festivals, she has consistently championed the region’s rich food traditions, bringing its lesser-known flavours to audiences across India. Her collaboration with Chef Pin at Tamra marks another chapter in that journey.
The specially curated menu brings together some of Assam’s most cherished regional delicacies, each reflecting the simplicity and depth that define the cuisine. Guests can savour traditional favourites such as Pitha, Laru, Tenga, and Khar, prepared with respect for age-old recipes and the flavours that have been passed down through generations. Every dish offers a glimpse into the culinary charm of Assam, where fresh ingredients and balanced flavours delights.
Beyond the menu, the pop-up offers an opportunity to experience the traditions that shape Assamese cuisine. Through stories inspired by the region’s food culture and recipes that honour its culinary legacy, Chef Ayesha invites guests to discover a cuisine that remains deeply connected to its roots while introducing it to a wider audience in the heart of Delhi.

The Lunch buffet is priced at INR 3,800 plus taxes per person, and the Dinner buffet is priced at INR 4,000 plus taxes per person.
