Mumbai | August 2026 Times OOH, a Times Group company, has enhanced its Dynamic Platform Screens Network across Mumbai Metro Line 1. The iconic head-on screens, installed across nine key stations, have been upgraded from 55 inches to 75 inches, featuring significantly brighter displays and a sleeker, premium enclosure that commands attention the moment commuters’ step onto the platform.
Uniquely positioned on the median between two live metro tracks, these media units deliver an unavoidable, eye-level audience impact, offering brands a materially superior canvas in a high-dwell, high-frequency transit environment.
This marks one of the most significant upgrades to the city’s transit display media in recent years, combining scale, brightness, and precision placement within a single, high-impact environment. Mumbai Metro Line 1 carries an average daily ridership of approximately 10.5 lakh commuters, with nearly 94% belonging to the NCCS A segment an affluent and influential consumer audience. Few transit environments in India offer this combination of audience quality and scale while connecting some of the city’s most important residential, commercial, and lifestyle destinations.
Having set the benchmark for scale, Times OOH is now redefining the benchmark for quality. The move to 75-inch displays gives brand creatives significantly greater visual impact, while the enhanced brightness ensures vivid, true-to-life imagery across varying lighting conditions throughout the day and night. The redesigned enclosure, contemporary, refined, and unmistakably premium, elevates not only the advertising experience but also the overall commuter environment.
The enhancement has been designed around the way metro audiences engage with media. In the moments before a train arrives, commuters are attentive and receptive, creating a rare, uncluttered window in an increasingly fragmented media landscape. The enhanced screens maximise this opportunity by delivering brand messages with exceptional clarity and presence to a premium, high-intent audience.
Times OOH was the first to pioneer digital media within the metro platform environment itself an industry-first that established new operational benchmarks for how such installations are engineered and deployed. This pioneering achievement also earned the network recognition in the Limca Book of Records.
“Mumbai Metro Line 1 is one of the most powerful media environments in the country, where the scale of footfall is matched by the quality of its audience. This enhancement ensures the media lives up to both. Larger screens, brighter displays, and a premium design come together to create a platform that affluent, discerning commuters notice and one that brands are genuinely proud to be associated with,” said Sumit Chadha, Business Head, Times OOH.
The enhanced network is now live across nine stations on Mumbai Metro Line 1 and is available to advertisers with immediate effect, further strengthening Times OOH’s position as a definitive destination for premium Out-of-Home advertising and a thought leader in transit media in India.
