Hyderabad, 24th August 2026: Zega at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel unveils its new beverage concept of signature cocktails, a thoughtfully crafted collection of seven signature cocktails inspired by the Japanese tradition of Mizuwari, meaning “cut with water.” Rooted in the principles of balance, restraint and refinement, the new cocktail experience brings together bold flavours, subtle dilution and considered craftsmanship, with each creation drawing inspiration from the seven virtues of the Samurai.
Moving beyond the conventional cocktail menu, the Mizuwari Series invites guests to discover a story in every glass. Makoto, Chu, Ikigai, Rei, Jin, Yu and Meiyo each represent a distinct virtue and personality, translating Japanese philosophy into contemporary cocktails designed to be savoured with intention.
The journey begins with Makoto – Honesty & Sincerity, a vibrant combination of vodka, Aperol, yuzu lime and fizz, while Chu – Duty & Loyalty brings together bourbon whisky, lime, sesame and Angostura bitters in a characterful highball. Ikigai – The Secret to a Long & Happy Life combines gin, cherry cordial, hibiscus and sparkling elements, creating a cocktail centred around discovery and purpose. Rei – Beauty in Imperfection takes a more unexpected direction with vodka, pickled ginger, kaffir lime, cucumber and watermelon, embracing the Japanese appreciation for the imperfect and unrepeatable. The collection continues with Jin – Compassion, a blush-pink highball of gin, passion and strawberry sweet vermouth, citrus and fizz; Yu – Heroic Courage, an effervescent blend of gin, cherry wine, Campari, lime and fizz; and Meiyo – Honour, a complex combination of white rum, pineapple, Campari and lime.
Together, the seven cocktails create an experience that is as much about discovery as it is about drinking.
