New Delhi, September 03, 2026 : As India prepares to host the 18th BRICS Summit on September 12–13, CNN-News18 is set to bring viewers a week-long special programming, ‘BRICS: Bharat’s Moment’, from September 7–13 September.

As India takes centre stage at another consequential global gathering, CNN-News18 will bring the scale and significance of the summit to viewers through sharp, on-ground reporting and informed analysis. The week-long programming will track the key developments, debates and diplomatic dynamics, while examining the wider global implications of a summit that could shape the next chapter of BRICS, and what it means for India.

The channel will roll out a dedicated BRICS Bulletin + Reporter through the week, combining a fast-paced news capsule with special ground reports and analysis by Siddhant Mishra. From September 7–10, Take Three Special: The Inside Track, airing daily at 4:30 PM, will offer focused analysis of the summit’s internal diplomatic dynamics.

The programming will also include three special editions of Take Three: The BRICS View on September 11, 12 and 13, individually anchored by Rahul Shivshankar, Anand Narasimhan, and Shawan Sen. Adding an international dimension to the coverage, CNN-News18 will also host a high-impact joint global broadcast with Sputnik and CGTN from September 11–13, bringing together perspectives from India and its international partners as the summit unfolds.

The programming captures the editorial proposition behind the week-long coverage: the global order is changing, BRICS is evolving, and India is at the centre of what comes next.

Commenting on the upcoming special programming, Rahul Shivshankar, Editorial Affairs Director, CNN-News18, said, “BRICS today reflects the profound shifts underway in the global order. With India at the helm of this year’s summit, the stakes are particularly significant. Through ‘BRICS: Bharat’s Moment’, we will look beyond the headlines to examine the diplomatic choices, competing interests and larger geopolitical questions that will shape what BRICS becomes next and what’s in store for India.”

Adding to it, Smriti Mehra, CEO – English & Business News, Network18, said, “India hosting the 18th BRICS Summit is a significant global moment, with the world watching India’s role in a changing global order. CNN-News18 will capture every dimension, from the conversations at BRICS Dialogues in Delhi and developments on the ground to the larger geopolitical shifts shaping BRICS. With ‘BRICS: Bharat’s Moment’, we will cut through the noise to give audiences a clear understanding of what the summit means for India and the world, alongside diverse perspectives through our joint broadcast with Sputnik and CGTN.”
