Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield brought the spirit of Holi to life on Sunday, 01st March 2026 with a specially curated Boondi Mixing Brunch, designed to celebrate the festival through flavour and shared experience.
The afternoon centered around an interactive boondi mixing ritual organised by Executive Chef Gaurav Paul and the culinary team, where guests combined freshly prepared pearl-sized boondi with ghee, cardamom, saffron strands, and roasted nuts and used pichkaris to mix in coloured sugar syrup, before shaping them into traditional laddoos. The hands-on activity added a personal element to the festivities, turning a classic sweet into a collective creation for guests from the city and overseas.
“Our aim with this boondi mixing ceremony was to add a touch of playfulness to our tradition of Holi, where we wanted our guests to experience the fun of the festivities in a hands-on approach. The use of the pichkaris to mix in the sugar syrup was a beautiful touch that was appreciated by our guests, and strengthened the festive spirit of Holi”, said Executive Chef Gaurav Paul.
Beyond the ritual, the celebration continued with a lavish buffet featuring an array of festive favourites, complemented by an extended dessert counter that showcased handcrafted sweets and decadent confections like Gulab Jamun Tiramisu, Thandai Cheesecake and Gujiya Hand Pie.
Set against a lively yet refined atmosphere, the afternoon reflected the hotel’s approach to festive programming: immersive, culinary-led, and rooted in tradition while offering a contemporary dining experience. The Boondi Mixing Brunch marked the beginning of a vibrant season at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, bringing guests together over flavour, craft, and meaningful celebration.
