Agritech Fyllo Launches India’s First Hyperlocal AI Weather Model Giving 6-Hour Rainfall Alerts for Time-Critical Services

• Streamlined decision-making across sectors • Operational efficiency through automation and precision • Enhanced forecasting for time-critical services

Bengaluru, November 24, 2025: Agritech startup Fyllo has launched DeepMet 1, a first-of-its-kind AI-powered weather prediction model designed to provide short-term rainfall forecasts of up to six hours. This innovation significantly enhances accuracy for farmers, cities, and industries that rely on precise weather information.

DeepMet 1 operates at a hyperlocal resolution of 10 × 10 kilometers and has been specifically developed for the Indian subcontinent. The model aims to bridge the gap between traditional numerical weather prediction (NWP) systems and the real-world needs of India’s diverse climatic zones. It addresses challenges such as fluctuating crop yields, urban disruptions, and strain on power systems caused by unexpected rainfall.

By analyzing satellite observations from the previous six hours, DeepMet 1 produces highly localized precipitation forecasts, often distinguishing rainfall variations even between neighboring villages, streets, or farmland blocks.

DeepMet 1 is designed for real-time deployment and integrates seamlessly via API access, enabling instant adoption across sectors including agriculture, urban infrastructure planning, energy management, logistics, research institutions, and financial services. Online delivery companies can also use DeepMet to gather rainfall insights, helping predict delivery times, costs, and operational efficiency.

Its forecasts can be publicly visualized on a live dashboard, with APIs available for developers and institutions building weather-dependent applications.

Sumit Sheoran, Co-founder of Fyllo, said, “India’s diverse weather necessitates dynamic tools for accurate forecasting. Farmers, city planners, and energy managers often rely on general forecasts that overlook local conditions. DeepMet 1 provides hyperlocal, AI-driven weather intelligence, making it accessible to all stakeholders.

The launch of DeepMet 1 represents a significant milestone in Fyllo’s growth as one of India’s fastest-growing agritech companies. Founded with the mission to make farming more predictable and data-driven, the startup has expanded across major agricultural regions, offering farmers real-time insights on crop health, nutrient management, irrigation, and disease prediction.

Fyllo’s technology ecosystem is now used by thousands of farmers and agri-enterprises, supported by investors such as India Quotient and SIDBI Venture Capital.

DeepMet 1 marks a critical step in Fyllo’s long-term vision to empower India’s agriculture sector with climate intelligence that is hyperlocal, accessible, and actionable.
