Delhi, July 04, 2025: AI+ Smartphone has launched its first national TV commercial (TVC), marking its entry into the market with a confident, no-nonsense message that calls time on the tired tactics of overpromised, underdelivered tech. In a category crowded with buzzwords, exaggerated specs, and flashy gimmicks, AI+ cuts through the noise with sharp storytelling and a bold challenge to the status quo.
Featuring acclaimed actor Abhishek Banerjee, the film takes a refreshingly clear-eyed look at the modern smartphone experience—one where complexity is often mistaken for innovation. In less than 30 seconds, it flips the script, reminding viewers that real smartness isn’t in how loud a phone claims to be, but in how thoughtfully it serves its users.
Set in a familiar mobile store, the film opens with an exaggerated sales pitch packed with confusing features. Banerjee’s character walks in, quietly listens, then calmly dismantles the spin with a simple truth: “Smart is not enough. It needs to be smart where it counts.”
This directness resonates with consumers, who, as recent qualitative research has revealed, are tired of gimmicks and deeply value clarity, camera quality, and data privacy. Specifically, the film’s focus on privacy resonated strongly, particularly with female users who voiced unprompted concerns about data leaks and cross-border surveillance.
By combining sharp humour with everyday relatability, the TVC positions AI+ not as another spec-driven promise, but as a smartphone that respects the buyer’s intelligence—and their privacy.
As part of its national rollout, AI+ Smartphone is launching a robust multilingual campaign across nine Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, and Odia. The campaign spans television, digital, and outdoor formats with localised adaptations of the brand’s debut TVC, featuring Abhishek Banerjee. From high-impact news and entertainment channels to OTT platforms and regional dailies, the media strategy is designed to connect with smartphone users across India’s linguistic and cultural spectrum—meeting them where they are, in the language they trust.
“For us, doubling down on security and privacy isn’t a feature—it’s a principle,” said Archi Gogoi, Marketing and Communications Lead at AI+ Smartphone. “Consumers are now more aware of how their data is used, where it’s stored, and who has access.”Especially in a country like India, where digital adoption is rapidly increasing, people want technology that respects their intelligence and protects their personal information. We believe trust and privacy will define the next decade of smartphones, and we’re building with that belief at the core.”
The first AI+ smartphones, AI+ Pulse and AI+ Nova 5G, will be available nationwide starting July 8, 2025.
