Mumbai, India – January 20, 2026 – The BKT Foundation, through which Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) performs its CSR activities, has been honored on the Wall of Giving at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, one of India’s leading centers for cancer treatment and research. The recognition reflects the foundation’s long-standing contribution to enhancing hospital services and enabling broader access to high-quality, evidence-based, and affordable cancer care.
The Wall of Giving honors donors whose ongoing philanthropic contributions have led to a tangible and lasting impact on the hospital’s mission and, above all, on the lives of patients and their families. Over the years, the BKT Foundation has supported Tata Memorial Hospital through targeted investments to improve clinical capabilities and patient care.
Key initiatives supported by the BKT Foundation include several palliative care projects for children as well as the donation of ultrasound devices and anesthesia equipment, two video bronchoscopy processors with monitors, and dual-energy CT scanners. These contributions have enhanced the hospital’s diagnostic and treatment capabilities, providing wider access to advanced cancer care for patients.
“BKT’s steadfast commitment and ongoing support over the years have played a pivotal role in extending both our services and institutional capabilities, expanding access for patients in need, and enabling several transformational initiatives at the hospital,” states Sunita Rao, General Manager Fundraising at Tata Memorial Hospital. “We are deeply grateful for the company’s trust in the hospital and for the continued support in providing high-level technologies and machinery at the service of the Indian community of people.”
The recognition is also a testament to the vision and commitment of Mrs Vijaylaxmi Poddar, President & Chairman of the BKT Foundation: “This acknowledgment reflects a shared commitment to care, dignity, and healing, and reinforces the value of sustained partnerships in advancing healthcare for those who need it most. It is truly inspiring to see how our efforts are strengthening cancer care and expanding access for patients in need, and we are honored for the opportunity to walk this journey.”
Through its activities in India and internationally, the BKT Foundation focuses on education, healthcare, and access to essential services – guided by its CSR philosophy and the motto “We Care”. The recognition at Tata Memorial Hospital represents a further milestone in the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to creating measurable social impact through responsible and sustained engagement.
