India-wide release, 14th October 2025: This festive season, Converse is dialing up the glitz with a limited-edition drop – the newest iteration of the Run Star Trainer with Swarovski crystals. But this isn’t about the shoes; it’s also about today’s women who wear them and totally own them, one unapologetic step at a time. And through its Uncut Gems campaign, Converse is celebrating just that with a new wave of women creatives redefining India’s style language.
The campaign features five revolutionary artists who represent what Indian fashion is all about – pushing boundaries, cultural resilience, and a global outlook: Shivani Boruah, of Our Own Pace, championing fluid design with conscious, slow fashion; Nyapi Ngomdir, of Sour Saint, balancing edge with cultural nuance; Meher Toor of Ada, amplifying inclusivity and new-age femininity in ethnic wear; Ankita Chouhan, aka, Akky of Cybrbride, known for fearless and unapologetic experimentation; and Jane Meliora Mankin Sangma of 20future, who marries quiet elegance with a futuristic edge and modern minimalism.
At the heart of this campaign is the new Run Star Trainer with a Deep Emerald satin and suede upper. But the showstoppers? The varying-sized Swarovski crystals on the medial and lateral sides. A translucent gum outsole grounds the design, complemented by a three-layer memory foam sockliner for comfort and style throughout the day. With just 24 pairs in India, this sneaker is as exclusive as it gets.
This is more than a festive drop – it continues Converse’s global legacy of collaborations that bridge culture and fashion. By spotlighting new voices, Converse is not only amplifying fresh talent but also redefining luxury for a generation centred on bold self-expression. The Converse Run Star Trainer with Swarovski crystals will be available on converse.in and at the standalone store in Mumbai ₹12,499.
