Hon’ble Justice Sudhir Agarwal Guided Noida International University’s Students

The School of Law and Legal Affairs, Noida International University, solemnly observed Constitution Day. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Justice Sudhir Agarwal, Allahabad High Court (Retd.), Former Judicial Member, National Green Tribunal, New Delhi, who presided as the Chief Guest. Distinguished Guests of Honor included Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Lokpal, Vinod Bihari Koyalanchal University, Jharkhand, Retired IRS Officer, and Advocates-on-Record, Supreme Court of India—Mr. Ashutosh Dubey and Mr. Ashwani Dubey.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and floral tribute before the statue of Maa Saraswati. The guests were formally welcomed with Ang Vastram, mementoes, and bouquets by Dr. Vikram Singh, Chancellor, Noida International University; Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor, Noida International University; and Prof. (Dr.) Namita Vyas Joshi, Dean, School of Law and Legal Affairs.

Dr. Vikram Singh, Chancellor, Noida International University, encouraged the students and faculty and said, “The Constitution of India stands as the moral and legal foundation of our democracy. I extend my best wishes to all and commend the School of Law for organizing such a meaningful event that strengthens our academic and civic ethos.”

Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor, Noida International University https://niu.edu.in/, emphasised the institution’s responsibility toward the community and constitutional literacy and said, “Constitution Day reminds us of our profound duty toward justice and equity. The university remains firmly committed to extending legal aid to the residents of our five adopted villages through structured and continuous legal awareness camps conducted by the School of Law.”

Hon’ble Justice Sudhir Agarwal highlighted the enduring relevance of constitutional discipline, saying, “The Constitution is not merely a legal document—it is a guiding philosophy for national progress. Its values of justice, liberty, and equality must be upheld not only in the courts but in every sphere of public life. I urge young legal scholars to carry forward this responsibility with integrity and diligence.”

Mr. Ashwani Dubey, Advocate-on-Record, in his address, reflected on the monumental role of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, stating that Dr. Ambedkar executed his responsibilities as Chairman of the Drafting Committee with unparalleled excellence, giving India a visionary framework for the world’s largest democracy.

Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Lokpal, underlined the contemporary relevance of constitutional values and stressed the need for continuous public engagement to preserve democratic integrity.

The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Aniruddha, Associate Dean, School of Law and Legal Affairs, acknowledged the presence of all esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and students for making the programme a resounding success.
