- Tell us about the inception of Life n Colors. What inspired the creation of a brand that brings walls to life?
Life n colors is an intrinsic home design studio, specializing in creating exquisite wallpapers that adorn prestigious properties across the globe. The brand launched Prasanaakshi, its soft furnishing line, last year and is now geared up to launch its experience center in the Delhi NCR Region. From 5-star hotels to celebrity homes, these wallpapers bring a touch of luxury and elegance to every space they embellish. Founded by Apourva in 2013, and later joined by Ashutosh as the co-founder, Life n Colors emerged to address a gap in the Indian home decor market, offering world-class products, and shaping walls that mirror individual dreams, in exceptionally personalized ways. One can choose from their existing collection on the website or consult their talented team of designers for custom-made pieces. The brand has a global presence, spanning across more than 30 countries.
- Over the years, how has Life n Colors evolved in terms of product innovation, design philosophy, and market presence?

We began by importing wallpapers, then gradually built our own in-house design team and manufacturing unit. From there, we expanded our offerings—first by launching our sister brand Prasanaakshi to enter the world of textiles, and then by introducing wall art into our portfolio.
Today, Life n Colors offers a wide range of custom solutions, including bespoke wallpapers, embroidered wall art, and embroidered linens. We’ve also established a D2C platform to reach customers directly, and most recently, launched our Experience Centre—a space that offers a first-hand glimpse into the world of Life n Colors.
Over time, our design philosophy has evolved—from being style-led to becoming experience-led, with a focus on how textures and finishes transform a space emotionally and aesthetically. We’ve consistently pushed the boundaries with hand-textured wall finishes, metallic accents, lime plasters, and tactile surfaces.
From a niche presence, we’ve grown to become a preferred choice for architects, designers, and homeowners across 30 countries.
- From a colour swatch to a full wall transformation – how does Life n Colors approach personalization and customer experience?
We don’t just offer catalogues; we offer consultations. Our process begins with understanding the client’s vision, lifestyle, and the mood they want to create. From there, we create sample swatches on-site, customize textures, play with finishes, and bring that idea to life – layer by layer. Our trained applicators ensure consistency and quality, while our design team works closely with customers to ensure the final outcome feels truly theirs.
- What are some of the standout collections or textures that have become favourites among interior designers and homeowners?
Over time, we’ve observed a growing appreciation for finishes that blend aesthetic appeal with functionality. Here are some collections and textures that have garnered significant attention.

- How do you see the role of colour and texture evolving in Indian homes today? What trends are you most excited about?
Indian homes are becoming more expressive. There’s a clear shift from safe, neutral walls to statement textures, bold colours, and layered surfaces. People want homes that tell stories – and texture is a powerful storytelling tool. We’re particularly excited about the rise of tactile minimalism, where subtle textures replace loud patterns, and the use of sustainable materials like lime and clay finishes that age beautifully. The fusion of Indian craftsmanship with modern aesthetics is another trend we love and actively explore.
- In a crowded home décor market, how does Life n Colors stay ahead of the curve – both creatively and in terms of customer connect?
Creativity, for us, is not just about offering something new – it’s about offering something meaningful. We stay ahead by investing in material innovation, collaborating with artists and designers, and constantly experimenting with form and finish. On the customer side, our strength lies in the experience we offer. From the first design brief to the final installation, we’re deeply involved. We work as collaborators in shaping someone’s space.
- Finally, what’s next for Life n Colors? Any upcoming launches, offline expansions, or collaborations we should watch out for?
Life n Colors is taking its vibrant design philosophy offline with the upcoming launch of its Experiential Centre in Gurugram – a one-of-a-kind destination where colour, texture, and storytelling come together to inspire.
But this isn’t just another showroom. It’s a bold reimagining of how we interact with wall finishes and décor – designed for design lovers, interior decorators, and homeowners who see walls not just as surfaces, but as canvases
