Mumbai, July 2025 — After becoming India’s largest storytelling platform with over 6,500+ stories told and millions of lives positively impacted, Humans of Bombay (HOB) is entering its next phase of growth as a full-stack digital media company.
With a 7M+ strong community, Humans of Bombay has always believed that real, human stories have the power to change the world. Now, we’re taking that power and building something bigger—original IPs, bold partnerships, and immersive formats that won’t just tell stories, but shape the culture of a New India.
“Stories change people. And people change the world. We’re building storytelling ecosystems—formats and IPs designed to inspire, influence, and push India forward,” says Karishma Mehta, Founder & CEO, Humans of Bombay.
Leadership Expansion to Power Scale
Every great transformation needs the right people to lead it. That’s why Amit Sobti is joining Humans of Bombay as President. With two decades of building and scaling media companies—including 12 years shaping Fork Media into one of India’s leading digital media companies —Amit will drive operations, revenue, and partnerships to the next level.
“This move just felt right,” says Amit Sobti, President, Humans of Bombay. “I’ve spent years building brands and businesses, but HOB is different. It’s honest. It’s human. And in a world full of noise, that really matters. I’m excited to help shape what comes next—thoughtfully, and with purpose.”
Creativity is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why Jasleen Kaur Gupta is joining us as Vice President, Creatives & Delivery. With a decade of experience shaping content, marketing, and talent IPs at brands like Myntra, 120 Media Collective, and Fork Media, Jasleen will lead the creative vision and bring bold, new storytelling formats to life.
“Much before joining HOB, I was a fan of their content. To now actually be here and have the opportunity to make an impact with life-changing storytelling and creative experiments is a chance to do what I do best. Build. Bigger, better and be disruptive,” says Jasleen Kaur.
The Next Chapter
The expansion signals Humans of Bombay’s ambition to become a cultural force that connects brands and audiences through stories that truly matter. With its unique ability to blend deeply human narratives with innovative formats, HOB is ready to build IPs and brand partnerships that don’t just sell—but inspire, engage, and endure.
To achieve scale, HOB is set to double its current headcount with a focus on culture, talent density and a cumulative vision to fuel the engine.
“At our core, we’ll always stand for real, empathy-driven stories. But the future we’re building is about going beyond content—into culture, influence, and impact at scale,” adds Karishma Mehta.
