New Delhi, 24th October 2025: UClean, India’s largest laundry and dry-cleaning chain, has forayed into the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking a significant step in its global expansion journey. The brand, which already operates in countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Somalia, and Mauritius, now brings its “live laundry” concept to the Middle East.
The UAE entry is part of UClean’s strategy to reinforce its presence across nine countries, as it targets 1,000+ outlets globally over the next 18 months. The company currently operates nearly 700 stores in India and serves over 2 million customers annually across 200 cities worldwide.
“Our entry into the UAE is more than a geographical expansion—it represents the acceptance of an Indian-origin brand on the global stage,” said Arunabh Sinha, Founder & CEO of UClean. “Much like how Domino’s and Subway transformed the F&B franchise market globally, UClean is redefining the laundry industry by making organized, professional laundry care accessible across cultures. The enthusiastic response from entrepreneurs in the Middle East validates our franchise-led model.”
The global franchise market, valued at around USD 160 billion in 2023, is projected to cross USD 250 billion by 2031. UClean aims to capture a significant share of this growth by creating business opportunities for local entrepreneurs through its scalable and proven model.
UClean’s “live laundry” format—where customers can watch the washing and dry-cleaning process—has been one of its biggest differentiators in India and abroad. The brand is also introducing allied services such as home and upholstery cleaning to position itself as a one-stop cleaning solution.
Founded in 2017 by Arunabh Sinha and Gunjan Taneja, UClean has raised around $1.6 million from investors including Franchise India Holdings, Rajiv Jalan, and US-based angel investor Anubhav Chopra. Bollywood actors Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu are also among its early brand partners.
With its UAE entry, UClean is now focusing on strengthening its Middle East presence while simultaneously eyeing underserved markets in Africa and South Asia. The company is also scaling its training initiative, UClean Pathshala, to ensure global franchisees maintain the brand’s service standards.
