Mumbai, September 2025 – Jaeger-LeCoultre, The Watchmaker of Watchmakers™, in partnership with Art of Time, proudly presents The Precision Pioneer – the Maison’s first-ever travelling exhibit in Mumbai, India. Taking place from 23rd September to 6th October 2025 at Art of Time’s Amarchand Mansion boutique in Colaba, the showcase brings Jaeger-LeCoultre’s extraordinary legacy of innovation and mastery of precision watchmaking to India.
Following its acclaimed debut at Watches & Wonders Geneva, The Precision Pioneer offers an immersive journey into Jaeger-LeCoultre’s world, tracing its near two-century-long pursuit of precision – from Antoine LeCoultre’s pioneering inventions in the Vallée de Joux to the Maison’s groundbreaking complications of today.
A Story of Precision in Four Chapters
Through a specially designed circular boutique installation, The Precision Pioneer presents the story of precision across four chapters:
- The Precision of Production – tracing the Maison’s origins and technical inventions that shaped modern watchmaking.
- The Precision of Chronometry – showcasing milestones in timekeeping accuracy, including Jaeger-LeCoultre’s chronometer-certified achievements.
- The Precision of Regulating Organs – unveiling research into balance wheels, hairsprings, and tourbillons, the beating heart of every watch.
- The Precision of Complications – highlighting the Maison’s inventive Duometre mechanism and mastery of complex watchmaking.
Complementing this storytelling, visitors will be able to experience watchmaking animations, calibre assembly demonstrations, and circular graining at dedicated ateliers, bringing alive the precision of hand craftsmanship.

Rare Timepieces on Display
The travelling showcase will feature a curated selection of museum horological treasures, heritage creations including icons such as The Master Grande Tradition World Timer and REVERSO Hybris Artistica Caliber 179 and High Watchmaking masterpieces journeying all the way from the Maison’s headquarters in Switzerland alongside timepieces from the Indian core range. Together, they offer collectors and enthusiasts in India a rare opportunity to discover Jaeger-LeCoultre’s exceptional creations up close.
Among these are two exceptional Travelling Timepieces that exemplify the Maison’s mastery of complications and rare artistry:
- Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179 (Blue Gyrotourbillon) – A technical and aesthetic marvel, this timepiece features a remarkably proportioned Gyrotourbillon with the Duoface system, showcasing distinct artistry on both sides. Its hand-applied blue lacquer, interlacing gold lines, skeletonized movement, and semi-spherical balance spring highlight Jaeger-LeCoultre’s expertise in combining tradition with innovation. Inspired by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s anchor emblem, this creation represents a breakthrough in watchmaking precision. Its hand-crafted, blued semi-spherical balance spring takes timekeeping accuracy to an entirely new level.
- Master Grande Tradition Calibre 948 World-Timer (Green) – A unique interpretation of the world-time complication, this masterpiece combines a flying Universal Tourbillon with rare handcrafts including enamelling, guillochage, and lacquering. Its green enamel dial and pink gold case reflect the Maison’s ability to unite technical excellence with artistic expression, offered in a limited edition of just 20 pieces. At the centre of the dial, a domed pink-gold world map floats above the main plate, a distinctive take on the traditional world-timer. Powered by Calibre 948, all time zones are synchronised via a single crown, while local time can be adjusted in one-hour jumps without disturbing the minutes or seconds.
