Idukki: The Joyalukkas Foundation conducted various activities as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in Edamalakkudy, the only tribal panchayat in the state. Free eye care camps were organised to provide vision check-ups and distribute spectacles to villagers. Water purification units were also set up at the Primary Health Centre of the panchayat, the Government UP School, and the Homeo Dispensary.

The events were inaugurated by Binu M, President of the Edamalakkudy Panchayat. The Joyalukkas Foundation announced that free cataract surgery will be provided to those diagnosed with cataract after a detailed eye examination, with the help of the Thodupuzha Holy Family Hospital. Ribin Paul, CSR Senior Officer, Joyalukkas Foundation, and Dr. Sakhil Raveendran of the Primary Health Centre spoke on the occasion.
