India, March 2026: Artist, Music Producer and Composer Khushboo Wadhwani, professionally known as Kiara, makes history as the only Indian female artist performing at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup India and Sri Lanka 2026. At just 28 years old, she has already performed at nearly all of India’s major cricket stadiums, rapidly establishing herself as one of the most exciting names in live sports entertainment.
Kiara is a breakthrough talent and the only female artist among a select few chosen from across the country to perform on the stadium’s entertainment stage. Her role involves curating and executing the entire in-stadium music experience for each match, a high-intensity commitment that can last anywhere between six to seven hours. Far beyond entertainment, the role demands precision and awareness; Kiara describes it as a crucial supporting element in the celebration of cricket, requiring “100% accuracy and timing,” including pausing music moments before the bowler begins their run-up to ensure the game remains undisturbed.
Her association with major cricket events began when she was selected as the official DJ for the Gujarat Titans at IPL 2024, a milestone moment for the lifelong cricket enthusiast. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 marks her third major international cricket tournament, following successful stints at the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, hosted by Dubai and Sharjah.
Kiara has had the distinct honor of performing at some of India’s most iconic cricket venues, including Eden Gardens- one of the oldest and most historic cricket stadiums, Wankhede Stadium and the Narendra Modi Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium, each renowned for their electrifying atmosphere and passionate crowds.
“It’s an incredible honor to be part of an event as iconic as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup,” says Kiara. “Standing behind the console in front of tens of thousands of cricket fans is an electrifying experience and it feels truly special to represent women artists in an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated. I hope this moment encourages more women to step into spaces like live sports entertainment and claim their place on global stages. It’s incredibly meaningful to see more women finding space and recognition in industries that were once largely male-dominated, whether in sports or in music. Being one of the few Indian female DJs performing at a global platform like the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is truly special for me. Having previously performed during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, where the stadium was filled with incredible women athletes from around the world, I witnessed how powerful representation can be. Moments like these remind me how important it is for more women to step forward and be seen on the biggest stages.”
Kiara has also witnessed the growing momentum around women’s cricket up close. Having performed at a women’s cricket tournament in 2024, she experienced the energy of a stadium celebrating women athletes from across the globe. The moment feels even more significant today, especially after India’s historic first-ever ICC Women’s ODI World Cup win in November 2025, a milestone that reflects how both the sport and the space around it are opening up for more women, on and off the field.
Her presence at the tournament also marks an important step forward for representation in sports entertainment. With stadiums hosting tens of thousands of fans and millions watching globally, the in-stadium soundscape plays a crucial role in shaping the live match experience. Through carefully timed music selections and crowd-energizing sets, Kiara continues to redefine how music amplifies the excitement of modern cricket.
