With the onset of Durga Puja, NESCAFÉ is set to delight Kolkata with a uniquely designed café-style tram display near the Newtown Sarbojanin pandal. The first-of-its-kind tram experience blends the nostalgia of Kolkata’s heritage with modern coffee experiences that NESCAFÉ continues to curate, offering visitors its new café-style cold coffee range in indulgent new variants.
Taking the experience a step further, renowned artist Anindita Dev has reimagined the tram as a canvas that fuses tradition with contemporary design. The exteriors celebrate Pujo with motifs like the dhak and dhunuchi, while the interiors offer the comfort of a café, a perfect setting for visitors to pause and enjoy a chilled NESCAFÉ café-style cold coffee amidst the festivities.
In addition to the café-style tram display, NESCAFÉ has extended its festive presence across nine other top pandals in the state, including Jodhpur Park and Badamtala in Kolkata, as well as leading pandals in Siliguri, Durgapur, and Midnapore. Through kiosks and rest stops, the brand is engaging with thousands of visitors soaking in the festive spirit, celebrating culture and wishing attendees a joyous and refreshing Pujo!
Speaking about the activation, Mr. Manav Sahni, Head- Dairy Business, Nestlé India said, “With this activation, NESCAFÉ aims to offer thousands of visitors a treasured cultural symbol, re-created in ways anew. By reimagining the iconic Kolkata tram as a café-style space, our aim is to give visitors to the Sarbojanin Pujo pandal a moment to pause, connect, and savour a chilled delicious NESCAFÉ café-style cold coffee, making their festive celebrations even more memorable.”
Talking about the collaboration, artist Anindita Dev, Founder, Anindita Dev Studio said, “It’s always a proud moment for an artist to portray and celebrate their culture in a new light.
