Although international condiments have become more accessible in India in recent years, there remained a significant gap for Indian hot sauces and pantry staples. Recognizing this opportunity, three food enthusiasts Mikhel Rajani, Arjun Rastogi, and Kshitij Neelakantan founded Naagin with a clear vision to create authentic Indian hot sauces. Today, Naagin has become a household name, elevating everyday meals into culinary experiences packed with flavour. This success is a testament to the co-founders, whose expertise in product development, marketing, finance, and supply chain has positioned Naagin as a true ambassador of India’s spice culture.
Mikhel is a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep passion for culinary innovation and a background in business management and food technology. Bringing an in-depth understanding of food trends and quality to the table, he overlooks business and product development, manufacturing, and offline sales for Naagin. Mikhel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Windsor, and has helped build 12 cloud kitchens, including Francesco’s Pizzeria and Mandala, before co-founding Naagin.
Arjun came to Naagin with a wealth of experience in cross-functional expertise in finance, consulting, and marketing. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance & Accounting) from Drexel University – LeBow College of Business, has worked with Blackrock and EY in the USA, and even co-founded marketing agencies Skarma & DoubleThink Media in the past. He has taken charge of Naagin’s online sales, finance, marketing, and brand strategy, and plays a key role in the brand’s innovation and strategic growth of Naagin in the competitive food industry.
Kshitij, having completed BSc in Development Economics from SOAS University of London as well as successful stints in marketing, operations, and public policy implementation, now completes the dynamic trio behind Naagin. He heads the brand’s systems and operations, supply chain, and logistics, ensuring it maintains operational excellence and efficiency. He is also responsible for aligning the brand’s operations with its commitment to quality and sustainability.
Together, Mikhel, Arjun, and Kshitij have led Naagin through multiple key milestones, from achieving the product-market fit, to partnering with well-known brands like Too Yumm and Biggies Burger, to sending out export orders to Amazon US and UK, Walmart Canada, & Carrefour UAE. Their combined expertise and passion for food innovation continue to propel the brand forward, making it a standout choice for spice lovers everywhere.
