This Women’s Day, Ketto Celebrates The Women Who Chose To Stay

Mumbai, 9th March 2026: This International Women’s Day crowdfunding platform Ketto has released a short film titled “The Ones Who Stay” — a moving tribute to women who step forward when someone needs help the most.

Across our cities and streets, there are moments of abandonment. We rarely stop to notice  an elderly person navigating the evening of life alone, a survivor of acid violence rebuilding courage piece by piece, or an injured animal lying unnoticed by the roadside. But every so often, someone chooses not to walk away.

Through this campaign, Ketto shines a light on women who chose to stay—women who stepped forward when compassion was needed the most.

The film brings together stories from three organisations supported on the platform: Chaanv Foundation, which works with acid attack survivors rebuilding their lives; Sai Sahara Old Age Home, where caregivers support elderly residents who have been abandoned; and Sharan for Animals, where rescuers care for injured and neglected animals.

Different causes. Different lives.
But the same quiet courage.

Through simple, powerful visuals, the film captures what “staying” looks like: a caregiver patiently feeding someone who cannot feed themselves, a survivor rediscovering confidence as she rebuilds her life, or a rescuer kneeling beside an injured animal, offering comfort and care.

Instead of focusing only on struggle, the film reflects on what happens next: women rising to the occasion and helping lives move forward again.

Speaking about the campaign, Varun Sheth, Co-founder and CEO of Ketto, said: “Some of the most powerful acts of kindness don’t make headlines. They happen quietly when someone chooses to stand beside a person or a life the world has forgotten. Through ‘The Ones Who Stay,’ we wanted to honour the women who do exactly that—women who rebuild lives, restore dignity, and remind us that compassion is one of the most powerful forces we have.”

With this initiative, Ketto hopes to encourage more people to support the women who step up for others every day, ensuring that their work continues to touch more lives.

The film is now live across https://youtu.be/E9jlCNjoJEk?si=OtQPbiBucdaZOQUB Ketto’s social media platforms as part of its Women’s Day campaign  celebrating the quiet strength of women who continue to care, rebuild, and protect others.

Because sometimes the most extraordinary thing a person can do…
is simply staying.
